The Oxford Circle is part of “The Circle,” an international organisation established by singer-songwriter and activist Annie Lennox in 2008 to champion women’s rights and equality. It is an association of influential women from business, politics and creative industries who work collectively to support and empower the lives of women and girls living in poverty in the developing world.
Founder, Annie Lennox, said “The Oxford Circle’s art event is a great example of The Circle ethos and spirit in action; using their skills and resources to create inspirational and innovative ways to transform the lives of women in developing countries.”
The event is being held on Thursday 25 September, 6-9pm at The Varsity Club, High Street, Oxford. Capacity is limited and anyone wishing to attend should RSVP in advance to Emma Simpson (email@example.com). There is a suggested entrance donation on the door of £5 per person. All proceeds will go to the Oxfam project in Niger.
